- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The submission of pricing, capabilities for planning purposes, and other market information is highly encouraged and allowed under this RFI In Accordance With (IAW) FAR Part 15.201(e). SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a RFI/sources sought only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339112. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 15 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide the following: SCOPE OF Requirement(s) The Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform the following: Delivery of a fully functional: Glide Scope Core 15 Premium Configuration with Video Baton , Smart Cable and Glide Scope Quick Connect Cable The equipment shall be provided and delivered by the Contractor in the space determined by the Government. All equipment delivered by the Contractor shall be FDA approved for use, in new condition, and fully operational in accordance with manufacturer literature specifications. PURPOSE Use of single-use video-laryngoscope and bronchoscope for difficult and crash airway management. This equipment will be used for urgent and emergent intubations. VA Directive 1157 on Out of the Operating Room Airway Management (OOORAM) mandate that all Medical Centers have airway carts that will be accessible to the staff for intubation of patients with difficult and crash airway. The new Glidescope video-assisted monitors have the advantage of easy set-up during emergency care, using video assisted laryngoscopy and video assisted single use bronchoscopy. This will provide safer, more efficient, and more timely patient care. The Contractor shall provide all tools and equipment necessary to properly and safely perform the services set forth within this statement of work. This shall include, but is not limited, to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may be required for the work to be completed in a safe manner. The Contractor shall provide any equipment necessary for proper infection control measures during installation. JUSTIFICATION Verathon is the currently the only manufacturer of the GlideScope Core. GlideScope Core is an all-in-one airway visualization system for video laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, and dual view airway procedures. It offers immediate access to the tools needed to visualize the airway and tracheobronchial tree. Designed around a high-definition, touchscreen monitor and comprehensive workstation, GlideScope Core delivers elevated visibility and improved workflow. The multimodal view enables the clinicians to use one monitor instead of 2 separate monitors at the same time with the same patient. The staff is fully trained on Verathon GlideScopes. A change in existing equipment would require retraining and a learning curve which would not be acceptable for continuous patient care. The facility also maintains disposables for this equipment. Changing the equipment would incur substantial duplication of cost (inability to recycle old equipment, training, etc.) to the government SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS The Contractor shall provide a fully functional system that meets the following characteristics: GlideScope Core Salient Characteristics: Live Dual View imaging with the capability to view the airway via a GlideScope video laryngoscope and GlideScope BFlex, a single-use flexible bronchoscope Mounted on an adjustable arm, such that monitor can be positioned over the patient for optimal viewing in operator s direct line of sight Cable organizer keeps cables ready by the monitor, to easily connect the video laryngoscope and/or bronchoscope and start the procedure quickly Prep tray to ensure easy access to all airway tools Hook attachment to store single-use flexible bronchoscopes Sterile bin to organize video laryngoscopes, excess cables, and airway management tools in one place to cover a wide range of patients Dirty bin, designed to support infection control initiatives and house used equipment for easy disposal 15 LCD high-definition touchscreen monitor, compatible with glove-use Dual connection ports for two video inputs Dual Views Simultaneously o Dual View, side-by-side images on GlideScope Core 15 o Picture-in-picture images on GlideScope Core 10 GlideScope® MagnaView to enlarge the bronchoscopy view¹ SpO2 and pulse rate reading² on screen and captured images¹ and videos Still image and video capture via touchscreen Video playback and image gallery with capability to view full screen¹ Internal memory storage of 100 GB 180-degree image rotation for face-to-face intubations and training HDMI out port for external video display Compatible with these GlideScope products o Spectrum single-use video laryngoscopes o BFlex single-use flexible bronchoscopes o Titanium reusable video laryngoscopes o Video Baton QC Large with single-use GVL Stats Hot swappable blades and bronchoscopes Usability Features¹ Touch targets to select between video laryngoscope and bronchoscope views o Enable audio for alerts only o User-settable 12-Hour or 24-Hour clock 3-year system warranty 1 The Sp02 values displayed on the monitor can be used as a convenient secondary display. These are not intended for patient diagnosis. MUST BE AN AUTHORIZED DEALER and PROVIDE LETTER from MFR. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the brand name. If you are interested, and are capable of providing the sought out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA, VA NAC, NASA SEWP, or any other federal contract, that can be utilized to procure the requirement listed above? If so, please provide the contract number. Please submit your capabilities that show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that you can meet the requirement described in the attached SOW. Please provide your Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).
