Description

This announcement constitutes a notice of intent of the FAA to pursue a single source contract award to procure from Penny & Giles Aerospace Limited (PG) ten (10) Virgo CCAs, part number SPCI-C710-0-0006, which is used as a sub-assembly (SRU) to repair the ARSR4 Local Display Console (LDC) system computer. The FAA authority for single source procurements is provided by the FAA�s Acquisition Management System (AMS) policy section 3.2.2.4. Rational Basis for Use of Single Source Award Procedures PG is the only known provider of the Virgo CCAs, part number SPCI-C710-0-0006, as they are the OEM manufacturer of these parts. PG holds the rights to all proprietary information necessary to manufacture and test these parts. Because the Virgo CCA is wholly manufactured by PG the FAA believes PG is the only known vendor capable of delivering the required parts.
