Description
INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to outline the tasks and responsibilities of the vendor in supplying hot food holding steam tables listed below for the VA San Diego Healthcare System. BACKGROUND: VA San Diego Healthcare System is requesting 2 Five well hot food servers. PURPOSE: The equipment requested support kitchen activities and allow for employees to complete task efficiently. SCOPE: VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161-0002 is seeking a contractor to provide 2 HOT FOOD SERVER: Five Well Hot Food Server w/single over shelf heater. These steamtables must be compatible with the existing tray line service equipment, specifically height (34.5-37 high). They must have a 6 -8 shelf to accommodate plate setup. They must have an undershelf heating element and an undercabinet heated cabinet to support the tray line setup and operations. They must have a drain spigot to aid in cleanup and service must be Brand Name or Equal to Burlodge BHFS-M-5(1) Salient characteristics listed below in accordance with FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. Installation: Is not requested at this time. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must have the salient characteristics to enable the government to perform the capabilities: The units must have five full-sized sealed heated wells. Each well shall have individual temperature controls. The units shall come with at least ten (per unit) adapter bars to hold half-size or smaller pans. The units must be constructed from stainless steel for ease of cleaning. The units must have an over shelf with heaters to assist with temperature control. The units must have a drop shelf 6 -8 wide to set plates on during tray assembly. The units shall have a drain spigot to drain water from the wells. The units shall have an insulated warming cabinet with doors under the steam warmers. The units must be mobile & have four heavy-duty swivel casters w/ locks. The units shall have a rubber bumper around the perimeter. The units shall be easy to move and have 4 heavy-duty casters with wheel locks per unit. The units must have a footprint no greater than 85 x 35 The units shall bel 34.5 to 37 high to allow for trays to slide seamlessly to other pieces of equipment. FUNCTIONAL AND PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must provide functional and performance capability as listed above in section in above. TRAINING: No training is needed on this equipment. WARRANTY OF EQUIPMENT: Government requirement for standard manufacturer industry warranty term. The government does not accept extended warranty, which require advance payment. PERFORMANCE: 60 days After Receipt of Order DELIVER TO: VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161-0002
