- Description
- NASA/JSC plans to issue a Final Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) Services (LTVS) contract.� The objective of the LTVS acquisition is to procure the capability of increased lunar surface unpressurized mobility for suited Extravehicular Activity (EVA) crew members, and to telerobotically perform science, exploration, and logistics on the lunar surface.� The LTVS contract will provide for safe, reliable, and cost-effective LTV services to meet NASA�s need for a human-class rover that will extend the exploration range of EVA-suited crewmembers on the surface of the Moon.� Mobility will enable the crew members to traverse greater distances to better explore the lunar surface. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.�� The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336414, Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing, and 1,250 employees, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about May 26, 2023 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about July 10, 2023.� The LTVS Contract Milestone Schedule is located at:� https://www.nasa.gov/jsc/procurement/ltv/schedule All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
