- Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for vendors with the capabilities to provide FHCC is requesting an on-site Yoga contractor to assist as an adjunct for psychotherapy and medication management treatment for depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders as well as PTSD and substance abuse. Sessions are tailored to the needs of patients and are accessible to all patients regardless of any physical limitations. Yoga sessions include gentle mindful movement, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, mindful meditation as well as other stress-reduction techniques located at James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL. The contractor shall provide Yoga Therapy Sessions for 52 weeks, 11 hours per week for 52 weeks of Hatha-based Yoga Therapy. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to provide beginner level Hatha-based Yoga Therapy to Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) beneficiaries at the CAPT James A. Lovell, Federal Health Care Center (Lovell, FHCC) in North Chicago, IL. Contractor (or designated therapist) must be a certified yoga therapist graduating from a 200-hour yoga training program from a recognized Registered Yoga School (RYS®),and shall have at least 2000 hours and minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience specifically to Mental Health Inpatient in Veterans Affairs Hospital setting who may have the following diagnosis: Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anxiety, Insomnia, Depression, Drug Addictions, or Anger issues. Certification must include in the area of Chronic Pain, Trauma, and Mental Health. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611620. All interested, responsible sources must submit a capability statement by Wednesday, May 10, 2023 by 9:00 am CST to Michelle.Klug2@va.gov to include the following: Company Experience in providing yoga services to veteran s with the following: psychotherapy and medication management treatments for depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders as well as PTSD and substance abuse. Please include number of years and any examples of current contracts in place with government or commercial entities; Customer point of contact information for contracts listed in company experience along with a description of qualifications for this contract. Verification of authorization and training related to 200-hour yoga training program from a recognized Registered Yoga School (RYS®), and shall have at least 2000 hours and minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience specifically to Mental Health Inpatient in Veterans Affairs Hospital setting who may have the following diagnosis: Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anxiety, Insomnia, Depression, Drug Addictions, or Anger issues.
