Statement of Work 1. Objective/ Requirements This hardware will be used to replace existing hardware already in use at NASA Langley Research Center. The required specifics are as follows: 2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs QTY PART # DESCRIPTION 1 986000.901 Discovery DMA 850: A research quality DMA that provides complete viscoelastic measurements on materials from 1000 Pa to 1000 GPa. The instrument features a newly designed drive mechanism that is optimized for precise, direct control of force or displacement in oscillatory and static modes of operation. An optimized cast aluminum base and stiff composite drive system provide accurate measurements up to 18 N of force while low friction air bearing supports ensure sensitivity to 0.1 mN. Note 1: TRIOS is compatible with 64-bit version of Windows 10 Ultimate, Enterprise & Professional operating systems. Note 2: Instrument requires Air Filter/Regulator Kit (P/N 986320.901) and DSL Router with four port switch (P/N: 251471.002). 1 986012.901 Discovery DMA 850 Standard Furnace: Provides uniform and accurate temperature control for the DMA 850 from ambient to 600 �C. Compatible with all DMA 850 clamps, including submersion. Sub-ambient temperature control is achieved through the use of liquid nitrogen or mechanical cooling accessories which can extend the lower temperature limit to -160 �C or -100 �C, respectively. 1 991600.901 GCA for HR x0, DMA 850, Q800, and DHR EHP: Gas Cooling Accessory (GCA) with Auto-Fill capability for the HR x0, DMA 850, Q800, and DHR rheometer�s EHP temperature system. Accessory provides automated DMA cooling to -150�C, and EHP to -70�C, with cooled gaseous nitrogen for excellent sub-ambient temperature performance. Unit is designed to automatically fill after each scan when connected to a large low pressure liquid nitrogen tank. Accessory consists of a portable 50 L stainless steel tank, automated electronic control, connecting hoses, and cables. The Gas Cooling Accessory includes a universal power supply which is compatible with electrical voltages in the range 90- 265VAC; 50/60 Hz. 1 986320.901 DMA 850 Filter/Regulator 1 251471.002 DSL Router with 4-Port Switch: for communication between an external controller and Thermal and Rheology instruments. 1 999800.528 Thermal and Rubotherm Installation & Training: Installation will be provided according to ISO 9000 procedure by one of our highly trained Service Engineers (average experience level of our field Service Engineers is over 15 years). The ISO 9000 procedure insures consistency and high quality throughout the installation process. IQ/OQ procedures are available for an additional fee. The installation (except DMA) will include calibration with a traceable standard and a certificate of calibration. Basic Operational Training is also provided on the equipment after it is installed in your laboratory. 1 986252.901 Film/Fiber Tension Kit DMA850 / Q800 (Dual Screw Design, Mk III): Kit includes one set of smooth and grooved clamp fixtures for testing films and fibers in tensile mode. This newly designed clamp features a simplified 2-screw open clamping mechanism that improves ease-of-use and effectively prevents sample slippage. Visual guides aid in aligning film samples and integrated supports simplify fiber testing. Kit accommodates sample length range of 5 to 30 mm, width up to 8 mm, and thickness up to 2 mm. 1 984026.901 3-Point Bending Kit (5, 10, and 15 mm) for DMA 850 / Q800: miniature 3-Point Bending Kit includes fixtures for 5, 10 and 15 mm sample lengths in a three point bending mode. Clamp accommodates sample widths to 15 mm and thickness to 5 mm. 1 984014.901 3-Point Bending Kit (20 and 50 mm) for DMA 850 / Q800: kit includes fixture for 20 mm and 50 mm sample lengths. Clamp accommodates sample widths to 15 mm and thickness to 5 mm. 1 985164.901 DMA Powder Characterization Kit: Designed for use with the DMA 850 or Q800 35 mm Dual Cantilever Clamp (P/N: 984015.901). The kit includes two stainless steel powder trays which contain powder samples for evaluation of material transitions and qualitative modulus determination. 1 999800.781 Lifetime Support Plan (LSP) for TGA550, DMA850, TMA450, TMA 450 RH, or SDT650 systems: The LSP is a comprehensive support plan, designed to provide improved instrument performance, increased uptime, and reduced cost of ownership. Please note that the specifics above and the Trade-in terms are pulled directly from the quote provided. The vendor shall also provide NASA LaRC with a discounted price for trading in their old DMA instruments. Trade-in Terms: 1. Trade-in credit is extended for 60 days after the new equipment is installed. If the equipment being returned is not received within 60 days of installation an invoice will be sent in the amount of the trade-in credit. 2.
