NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. Description: Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD (V2231) announces its intention to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Champion Aerospace LLC, Liberty, SC (Champion Aerospace) for the procurement of 175 Amp Transformer Rectifier Units (TRU) in support of F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G aircraft. �The total quantity of 175 Amp TRUs to be procured is approximately 887(175 ampere) TRUs and associated engineering support and technical/programmatic data to include base year and three options years.�� Deliveries must occur at a rate of up to 20 TRUs per month or 240 per year for the base year and four option years with all deliveries completed by 30 September 2027.� Champion Aerospace is the only firm who has been qualified by the United States Navy (USN) to provide 175 Amp TRUs for installation into F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G aircraft; as a result, Champion Aerospace is the only firm who can provide 175 Amp TRUs within the timeframes required by the USN. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.� In accordance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1, this sources sought notice is being used as a market research tool to determine if any firm other than Champion Aerospace can provide 175 Amp TRUs within the timeframes required by the USN.� If a vendor believes that they have a 175 Amp TRU which has been qualified by the USN and can be delivered in accordance with the quantities/timeframes discussed above, then the vendor may provide a capabilities statement of no more than 5 pages in length that demonstrates their ability to meet these requirements. All data received in response to this RFI, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government.� Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.� �Responses to this sources sought notice, along with any questions or comments shall be sent to Patricia Reed at the following e-mail address: patricia.a.reed109.civ@us.navy.mil.
