- The Federal Bureau of Prisons: Metropolitan Detention Center located at Brooklyn, NY is requesting a quote for removing and installing one Roll Up Gate . Below you will find the information necessary to generate a quote. It is the intent of this solicitation to obtain a contractor to provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to remove and install one 620 series overhead door that measures 14' X 15'. The contractor is responsible to provide all equipment and labor to remove one damaged roll up gate and replace it with a new 620 series overhead door that measures 14' X 15', non-insulated gray primed color curtain, safety edge, new operator with a new code access keypad system (mounted on the exterior of the gate). Contractor can reuse the current open and close button on the interior of the garage to control the gate. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLACE OF PERFORMANCE The location hereinafter referred as ""MDC Brooklyn - Building 4"" shall refer to performance at: 63 Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn, NY ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EVALUATION FACTORS This solicitation is expected to result in the award of a firm-fixed priced contract. An award will be made to the responsible contractor whose quote conforms to the requirements and is determined to provide the best value to the Government, considering the evaluation factors outlined below: 1). Past performance - Past Performance information shall include prior experience and similar performances undertaken by the contractor; and 2). Price - The government will evaluate the contractor's proposed price to ensure it is fair and reasonable. Best value determination method will be used to make awards. The government will award to the responsible contractor whose quote is conforming to the solicitation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SITE VISIT: Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Contractors are not required to attend the site visit but are recommended to do so. All contractors who are planning on attending the site visit must email: amrodriguez@bop.gov by Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please submit your quotes by: Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM to amrodriguez@bop.gov. Please include the solicitation number in the subject portion of the email. All vendors must complete and comply with the following: 1. Complete and submit the contractor's information sheet. 2. Submit their quote. 3. Review the Statement of Work (SOW) Document. 4. Be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Review and comply with the attached Service Contract Act WD #2015-4187 for appropriate wage determinations. ""The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act requires contractors and subcontractors performing services on prime contracts in excess of $2,500 to pay service employees in various classes no less than the wage rates and fringe benefits found prevailing in the locality, or the rates (including prospective increases) contained in a predecessor contractor's collective bargaining agreement. The Department of Labor issues wage determinations on a contract-by-contract basis in response to specific requests from contracting agencies. These determinations are incorporated into the contract."" 6. Review and comply with the attached Davis-Bacon and Related Acts WD #NY20230003 for appropriate wage determinations. ""The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, apply to contractors and subcontractors performing on federally funded or assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for the construction, alteration, or repair (including painting and decorating) of public buildings or public works. Davis-Bacon Act and Related Act contractors and subcontractors must pay their laborers and mechanics employed under the contract no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits for corresponding work on similar projects in the area. The Davis-Bacon Act directs the Department of Labor to determine such locally prevailing wage rates. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to contractors and subcontractors performing work on federal or District of Columbia contracts.""
