Description

The Army Research Laboratory (ARL) owns thirteen (13) INSTRON Material Test Systems that require calibration and maintenance. The INSTRON testing systems are located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, in Aberdeen, Maryland. The testing systems consist of a total of five (5) electromechanical type frames and eight (8) servo hydraulic type frames, two (2) 5984 series electromechanical frames, three (3) 5985 series electromechanical frames, five (5) 88R series servo hydraulic frames, one (1) 8803 series servo hydraulic frame, and two (2) 8871 series servo hydraulic frames. Within the thirteen (13) test frames, there are twenty-five (25) force transducers, thirteen (13) displacement transducers, and four (4) extensometers.� � � � � � � � ��
