Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for the following Selected Spare Parts which are part of the Electric Power Plant III (EPP III) Engine Assembly used with the PATRIOT Missile Defense System: 2920-12-314-0812, PN: 01176510 CAGE: D2689 � PUMP, FUEL, METERING AND DISTRIBUTING 2910-12-346-1273, PN: 04189268 CAGE: D2689 � GENERATOR, ENGINE ACCESSORY The EPP III is the main electric power source for the PATRIOT Missile Defense System and the selected spare parts have been identified for maintenance and sustainment purposes. The quantity for NSN 2920-12-314-0812 is 109 units. The quantity for NSN 2910-12-346-1273 is 24 units. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for these selected spare parts is DEUTZ AG, CAGE: D2689. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these items is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing via email to jeffrey.j.guelzow.ctr@army.mil. The response must include production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be available, ranges for price breaks if applicable or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply and delivery of the parts. �The response should also include documentation such as a copy of a purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with this unit from the supplier listed above. �Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this SSA or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This Sources sought announcement (SSA) is for planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. �Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.� All SSA responses should be emailed to the Technical and Competition Advocate Points of Contact at the email addresses listed below.
