Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command � Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Ouraring Inc., located at 415 Mission St, 37th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1).� The requirement is for Oura Gen3 Heritage Rings. The Oura Ring 3 is a wearable device in a ring form that contains sensors to monitor health and sleep. This material uses sensors to collect data about temperature, heart rate, and movement. The Oura Ring 3 data is used by Oura to provide personalized feedback on sleep quality, activity levels, and recovery.� Oura, Inc is the sole manufacturer and supplier of the Oura Ring. The Oura Ring is the only wearable worn on the finger in a ring form factor that provides high quality sleep, activity, and recovery tracking. It provides an alternative to wrist-worn form factors that may be bulky or obtrusive.� The Oura Ring is specifically required for execution of the Measuring and Advancement of Soldier Tactical Readiness and Effectiveness (MASTR-E) Program Demonstration as the technology and data is already integrated. In addition, it can capture nap periods of sleep that other wearables are not able to provide. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 423990 and the size standard is 100� employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
