Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Louis Stokes Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106, is soliciting and intends to request a quote for award of a firm fixed price contract for Lead Paint Removal of the Rooftop Courtyard Screen Walls The NAICS Code is 562910, 2022 size standard 750 employees. The Government intends to 100% set aside for small business. The period of performance 5/8/2023 6/7/2023, in strict accordance with the performance work statement, all schedules, and terms and conditions of the resultant contract. This is not a request for quote. Performance Work Statement 1. Contract Title. Rooftop Courtyard Screen Walls Loose Lead Paint Removal 2. Background. NEOVAHCS is seeking a contractor to provide lead remediation services for lead paint removal. 3. Scope. Rooftop Courtyard Screen Walls Loose Lead Paint Removal: The project includes the labor, materials & equipment to remove and dispose of the loose lead paint chips from the (3) rooftop courtyard screen walls which consist of approximately 3,025 sq. ft. 4. Specific Tasks. Task: Remove and dispose of the loose lead paint chips from the (3) rooftop courtyard screen walls All roof surfaces under those areas shall be HEPA vacuumed to remove any residual lead dust. Removal must be completed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.62. Negative pressure (-0.02 inches water) should be maintained in the area to reduce contamination of adjacent areas. A minimum of 4 air changes per hour should be used while filtering the exhausted air through high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters. Final wipe and air samples will be completed. Work to be performed during normal working hours Monday thru Friday. All lead waste to be disposed of at a licensed disposal facility. All required final air or wipe sampling to be completed by a third party. 5. Performance Monitoring. The Government Point of Contact will monitor the contract performance and ensure that work is performed in accordance with the terms of the Performance Work Statement. 6. Place of Performance.
