Description

This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII SYSTEMS,�2425 Campus Rd Sinclair RM 1�Honolulu, HI 96822 for analysis of dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) whole body, proximal femur, anterior/posterior (AP) lumbar spine scans for body composition and osteoporosis assessment using Hologic, Inc. software and hardware for comparability with DXA data collected previously.� Quality control procedures, including the monitoring of data from phantom scans to ensure high quality DXA data, are an essential component of the project.� This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(d) and 10 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 621512 - Diagnostic Imaging Centers. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at qrb0@cdc.gov by 3:00PM EST, 20 April 2023
