Description
The Office of Intramural Management (OIM) within the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is looking for external consultant(s) to provide services for our administrative staff community within the Division of Intramural Research (DIR). The nature of our work, since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic has evolved and with it, so have the needs of the workers. In the last three years, this community of administrative professionals has learned to adapt to a hybrid workplace and is seeking growth/learning opportunities to maximize our hybrid work model, to not only adapt, but to excel and thrive. As a result of our recent organizational culture survey results, our office is seeking to strategically address staff needs within our hybrid work model via our All Staff Gathering Growth sessions in June 2023. We recognize that cultivating an inclusive, collaborative, and productive hybrid workplace is critical to us performing as an organization and delivering on our mission to remove barriers to enable research that improves health, not only now but in the future of our work. To do this effectively, it takes a collective effort and understanding, and requires learning new skills that are acquired over time, such as building our technological skillsets, our mindsets, and flows of work to maximize efficiency and collaboration. Given that our community consists of teleworkers, local-remote workers, and non-local remote workers, it is incredibly important that we continue to skill-up when it comes to hybrid work, a type of work that allows us to have the best talent, high retention, and increased wellness and productivity for all staff. We are committed as an organization to excelling in our work, which includes hybrid customer service and collaboration. For this reason, our emphasis for the Growth sessions, is for staff to learn something new as well as something they can apply immediately within their hybrid work context.
