- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Agilent Technologies, 2850 Centerville Rd., Wilmington De 19808. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement described below. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the NIH anticipates issuing a purchase order for the acquisition of �5300 Fragment Analyzer instrument (Product ##M5311AA) containing a 48 well capillary array.� The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Deafness and Other Communications Disorders (NIDCD), Genomics and Computational Biology Core (GCBC) provides sequencing support all aspects of genomic and transcriptomic �projects. �The instrument is a capillary electrophoresis machine used for sizing and quantitating cDNA, genomic DNA, PCR products and RNA. �Accurate sizing and quantitation are critical to library preparation of these samples, proper loading of short read and long read sequencing instruments, which in turn allows generation of large sequencing data sets while not wasting expensive reagents.� The purchase of the of� 5300 Fragment Analyzer instrument containing a 48 well capillary array will enable GCBC to obtain high quality sequencing data, larger output of samples, and a quicker turnaround time for completion of NIDCD projects. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.� However, any party that believes it can fulfill the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement to include instrument specifications that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to satisfy the requirement. �A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that an award will be issued within five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.
