Description

AC-23-00671 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE - INSTALLATION, TURN UP AND TESTING OF A POINT-TO-POINT CAMBIUM MICROWAVE SYSTEM FROM YUMA BORDER PATROL STATION TO ANDRADE REMOTE SHELTER This announcement constitutes a notice of intent of the FAA to pursue a single source contract award process for this requirement to procurement, installation, turn up and testing of a Point-to-Point Cambium Microwave System from Yuma Border Patrol Station to Andrade Remote Shelter. The Cambium Networks Microwave system is part of Custom and Border Protection (CBP) approved Technical Reference Model and is the current system being deployed in the field. The FAA currently estimates this project should cost between $150K - $200K. A draft Statement of Work for this project is attached to this announcement. The FAA authority for single source procurements is provided by the FAA�s Acquisition Management System (AMS) policy section 3.2.2.4. Rational Basis for Use of Single Source Award Procedures: Due to CBP and DHS operational and security needs, this project has a needed physical completion date of no later than 30 days from Receipt of Order. The FAA's current intended procurement strategy is to pursue a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract via single source award procedures to the following company: S&K Security Group.
