- Description
- NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE INTENT Reference No. 1625-OTS-23-NAT-0124 Flux Corporation 500 Westover Drive # 1604 Sanford, NC 27330 The Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Assistant Secretary of Administration and Management (OASAM), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Flux Corporation, under the authority of FAR 13.106?1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a Single Source. DOL Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) requires an ongoing need for software licenses and maintenance support for existing Flux software implemented and used within the Consumer Price Index (CPI) system. This product is required to maintain the Job Control System (JCS) components which are essential to CPI sampling and estimation business processes. Flux automates CPI batch processes into managed workflows supporting batch job scheduling, triggers database stored procedures jobs, executes ETL processes, transfers files, and runs SAS program applications. JCS uses Flux as its job scheduling engine. When an Action Handler wants to schedule a job on a user's behalf, it first composes the job, fills in the necessary parameter information and sets the timing or scheduling pre-conditions about this job. It then acquires access to the Flux engine and deposits this job into Flux's master schedule. Flux then monitors the pre-conditions to see if the job is ready for execution. When the job's preconditions are all met, Flux ""fires"" this job to the agent for execution. BLS requires Flux licenses to maintain the CPI custom Job Control System application. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance will commence on April 14, 2023. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541519 Other Computer Related Services with a size standard of $30 million. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Phone calls will not be accepted. Any inquiries concerning this notice of sole source intent must be directed to Julie Clay at clay.julie@dol.gov or Brittany L. Morrow at morrow.brittany.l@dol.gov. Please reference ""Response to Sole Source Notice for Flux licenses"" in the subject line of any e-mails. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a capabilities statement NLT Monday, March 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. EST. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
