Description
Award Notice: resulting from solicitation 36C25723B0019; Network Contracting Office, NCO17, has awarded a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract, 36C25723C0060, Construction Building 6 Covid-19/HVAC Buildback, located at the Dallas Veterans Memorial Veterans Center (VAMC), 4500 S. Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas. Contract Requirements: The Central Texas VA Health Care System has award requirement to reconfigure an existing room to facilitate COVID 19 overflow. This acquisition consists of reconfigure 1700sf of existing basement to facilitate the COVID-19 patient overflow waiting area for processing. This project will replace the HVAC system with Government furnished equipment as noted on the drawings, which will include primarily the air handlers, and controls, support systems, ancillary equipment such as ductwork, grills, and insulation will also be replaced as determined necessary. This project will include asbestos abatement as necessary to replace the identified mechanical systems. This project will also provide renovations as required to create isolation spaces that are able to be used for infectious patients and pandemic care. The Contractor will provide a Phasing Plan and Schedule which reflects the least impact on the daily operations of Building 6 services. Fire sprinkler system will be extended to all areas for complete coverage.
