Description: The USCG STA BARNEGAT LIGHT (47222) sustained heavy damages while conducting SAR operations. The 47222 is a 47C class vessel as it has�recently undergone Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) in accordance with (IAW) the 9325 Acquisition Program. The SLEP contract was awarded to Birdon America Inc. Because the SLEP program is still ongoing, the CG has not yet obtained ownership of the technical�data for the 47C. This renders BirdonAmerica INC as the sole vendor capable of carrying out the repairs necessary.�
