- The intent of the project is to provide all site investigations, design and construction documents, shop and manufacturing drawings, materials, labor, equipment, supervision, testing, submittals, and construction to perform the requirements of this project to make the necessary repairs and rehabilitation services in accordance with the provided task order scope of work and contract documents to include the base contract. This contract will make maximum use of schedules, manufacturers data, sketches, design documents, specifications, etc. The design and construction elements of this project are to be completed separately, unless approved by the Contracting Officer. This project will be a design-build construction project for the repair of Dedicated Outside Air Units at Buildings 5955 and 6050. Existing DX units will be replaced with chilled water units fed from the central plant. A new chilled water loop will be installed for the new DOAUs. Each of the facilities will remain occupied during construction. The project also includes five bid options to be completed through phased construction. Both facilities are located directly east of Key Gate East on Rothwell Street, in the 6000 area of Fort Sill, Comanche County, Oklahoma. The base bid work involves the installation of a new DOAU in penthouse E and a new chilled water loop. All facilities will remain occupied during construction. No work is required in the central plant. All new equipment shall be connected and compatible to the existing base wide BAC net control system. The principal elements of the project consist of asbestos removal, welding, site cleanup, sheet metal work, fire alarm work, interior and exterior finish work, general site cleanup, mechanical work to include plumbing sanitary and domestic, HVAC controls, materials hauling, ceiling repair and installation, carpentry, masonry, concrete, electrical, design, shop drawings, and workplan development.
