Description

The 70 ISRW requires contracted services conducted at the contractor�s location of Chinese-Mandarin language, regional expertise, and culture (LREC) instruction to Active Component Air Force personnel within subordinate units located in the Fort Meade, Maryland area, in response to Department of Defense (DoD) needs to maintain mission integrity. This training is for full acquisition training for four military linguists with no expected knowledge of the target languages. It must take place over sixty-three weeks of instruction, in accordance with guidance provided by Headquarters Air Force, such that successful completion may be considered a formal acquisition training event. As formal acquisition training, this contracted course must be designed to achieve student outcomes of minimum scores of L2/R2/S1+ as rated on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale upon completion, in accordance with the 1N3X1X Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP). The Vendor shall also conduct a 12-14 day iso-immersion at the end of the 63-week training period. The goal is to provide a truly isolated immersion experience that keeps students engaged around the clock for approximately two weeks in the target language. The Vendor shall provide students with a dynamic schedule in which to use their language skills in all aspects of living, communicating, solving problems, leading activities, and building the skills and stamina to stay completely focused in another language.
