- *The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Japan Engineer District (JED) will host an �Event for Industry: Doing Business with the U.S Government� on 13 April 2023.* � � �LOCATION: � � �Camp Foster Community Center, Bldg 5908 � � �Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan � � �TIME: � � �9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Japan Standard Time (JST)�� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District (JED) performs facilities related design and construction work in Japan for all military services and agencies. USACE JED currently has many upcoming construction projects for various agencies on Okinawa to include the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Health Agency, and other U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies throughout Okinawa, Japan. This event is to provide an overview of �Doing Business with the U.S. Government� for companies interested in learning how to competitively enter into contracts with the U.S. Government. We will also provide the current forecasted construction projects projected for solicitation in Fiscal Years 2023 and 2024. We will share information on how to work with the U.S. Government, facilitate interactions between the U.S. Government and Industry, and provide a networking opportunity for contractors and subcontractors looking to do business together with the U.S. Government in Okinawa, Japan. Actual agenda will be posted closer to the event date. We will also hold a Questions and Answers (Q&A) session in the afternoon where members of our staff will be on hand to assist in answering questions and responding to industry feedback. EVENT FOR INDUSTRY PRE-REGISTRATION: There is no cost for attendance. Companies interested in attending this Event for Industry are asked to provide a list of attendees to the following POCs by no later than 12:00 PM (JST) on 03 April 2023 for base access coordination. Telephone requests will not be accepted. � CAPABILITY STATEMENTS: Companies interested in doing business with the U.S. Government are also requested and encouraged to provide the following Company Capability Information to the POCs listed above by 12:00 PM (JST) on 3 April 2023. a. Company Information [Firm's Name, address, phone number, Email address, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and Unique Entity ID (UEI) if available, and any Joint Ventures or Partnering agreements in place] b. Capability Statement. Describe your firm's capability and experience relative to the work described in the program details. The narrative should provide the government with an understanding of your firm's capability. [Interested firms should demonstrate the ability to mobilize and operate in Okinawa, Japan, provide a history of recent (within seven (7) years) and construction experience with performance on multiple projects at different locations. c. Bonding capability on individual projects and aggregate requirements. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: a. This is an unclassified event. b. All briefings will be presented in English only. No translation will be provided. c. Forecasted projects are often contingent on funding received. Projections may not accurately represent the quantity and/or scope of projects that make it to solicitation.� d. The U.S. Government will not offer one-on-one discussions. e. This special announcement is not a contract solicitation, request for proposal, promise to issue any future contract, or a commitment to offer work of any kind on the part of the U.S. Government. f.
