THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE � THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT�S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT�TO CELLCO PARTNERSHIP dba VERIZON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONSERVICES. The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Certain Commercial Items implemented in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. WHS/AD intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract to CELLCO PARTNERSHIP dba Verizon Wireless, 10170 Junction Drive, Suite 200 Annapolis Junction, MD 20701, (CAGE: 1HWU7; DUNS: 968904698). Verizon Wireless Communication Services is required and CELLCO PARTNERSHIP dba Verizon Wireless is the only authorized resller for this service. The contract is necessary to provide Verizon Wireless Communication Services. The anticipated period of performance will be for one 12-month base period and one (1) 12-month Option Period. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 517312, Wireless Telecommunications Carriers. Small Business Size Standard of 1500 employees. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
