- Description
- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will hold an Industry Day conference at Maritime Plaza I, located at 1201 M St SE, Washington, DC USA 20003 on 08 and 09 March 2023. The event will begin at 0900 EST and end at 1630 EST. The meeting will be hosted by NAVSEA Headquarters SEA 02 Contracts Division for the purpose of discussing the Navy's plan for the Ex Enterprise CVN 65 Full Commercial Dismantlement and Disposal. The Industry Day will begin with a Government presentation from 0900 � 1100 that will discuss the general scope of work, project phases, notional regulatory framework, tow transportation and characterization of radioactive and hazardous materials. Presenters will come from various NAVSEA commands and the NRC. Additionally, the presentation will address questions and concerns that were received with the RFI responses. After the presentation, the group will break for lunch from 1100 � 1230.� From 1230 � 1630, the Navy will allow for one-on-one sessions for those companies interested in discussing alternatives, concerns and suggestions relative to a future RFP. Session will be 30-40 minutes in length. Companies interested in participating in a one-on-one session shall notify Mr. James McGowan and Robert Whitlow in the RSVP, as instructed below.� NAVSEA requests that firms interested in attending the Ex Enterprise CVN 65 Full Commercial Dismantlement and Disposal Industry Day submit company names and attendee lists no later than 5 PM EST, 03 March 2023 via e-mail to Mr. James McGowan, Contracting Officer (james.f.mcgowan6.civ@us.navy.mil) and Mr. Robert Whitlow, Contracts specialist (robert.c.whitlow.civ@us.navy.mil). The subject line of the RSVP email shall be limited to: �Ex CVN 65 Enterprise Industry Day RSVP from (Company Name). The body of the email shall include each attendee's name, Position/Title, email address, phone number, indicate whether they have a Common Access Card (CAC) or military ID, and indicate whether they wish to participate in a one-on-one session. Please limit participation to four (4) people per vendor. Firms are encouraged to submit any additional questions via email to Mr. James McGowan no later than 03 March 2023, in order for the briefing to be as informative as possible. This Special Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a contract or order.
