Description
SOURCES SOUGHT - SELEX model 2100 Instrument Landing System (ILS) Training The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting a Market Survey to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Interested sources must respond with information to confirm evidence of their qualifications and capabilities. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, or full and open competition. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. All interested vendors are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with vendor's Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK Instruction will train the technicians to maintain the SELEX Model 2100 systems in accordance with FAA orders 6750.49B and 6000.15J. Instruction will follow the SELEX Model 2100 Instrument Landing System (ILS) Training Course and shall include: Name and locating each major assembly of the ILS equipment, explaining the function of each, and its� � � � � contribution to the�overall� signal flow. Know the Assemblies (ASSY) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) that make up�the 2100 ILS System. � � � � � � � � � � � � � �*Function of each Assy and CCA in respect to overall system signal flow. � � � � � � � � � � � � � � *Purpose of each input and output of each Assy and CCA. � � � � � � � � � � � � � � *Understand detailed block description of each ASSY and CCA. Operate and align the ILS equipment in accordance with the manufacturers�specifications. Ability to recognize out of tolerance conditions and troubleshoot the ILS equipment to the module, subassembly or Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level. Training will prepare the students to take FAA Localizer Certification Program Performance Exam (NP117) and Glide Slope Certification Program Performance Exam (NP116). Training shall include a combination of Classroom and LAB Instruction. LAB training will include hands on experience with working SELEX model 2100 Glide Slope and Localizer equipment. All training materials and manuals will be provided by the contractor.
