- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst in support of the Prototype, Manufacturing, and Test Division is seeking sources that can provide seven (7) ILLLV Left Hand (LH) Plugs (P/N 626727-6), and seven (7) Improved Low Loss Launch Valve (ILLLV) Right Hand (RH) Plugs (P/N 626725-6). The Contractor shall meet all technical and quality assurance requirements detailed in the drawings listed below as well as the Technical Data Requirements (TDR) 21-17033 and 21-17032, and (Quality Management 1006) QM1006. Drawing 629303 Revision A: Plug, Weldment & Rough Machining (for P/N 626727-6 and 626725-6) Drawing 626725-6 Revision D: Plug, RH Thread Drawing 626727-6 Revision D: Plug, LH Thread This RFI is to determine whether there are any contractors capable of supplying the ILLLV LH and RH Plugs.� The material covered in this potential requirement would be used in a crucial shipboard system supporting the launch and/or recovery of the aircraft.� The use of incorrect or defective material would create a high probability of failure resulting in a serious personnel injury, loss of life, loss of vital shipboard systems, or loss of aircraft.� Therefore, the material has been designated as critical safety item (CSI) material and special control procedures are invoked to ensure receipt of correct material. This potential requirement includes information that is only releasable to current and approved Department of Defense (DoD) contractors.� Some documents are under Federal export control for �sensitive� or �controlled� technologies regulated by the U.S. Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) protecting national security.� Data may not be exported without an approval, authorization, or license under E.O. 12470 or the Arms Export Control Act.� Disclosure of the control drawings requires the verification of a current license for the oral, visual or documentary disclosure of technical data by U.S. persons to foreign persons as defined under the U.S. Department website: http://pmdtc.org/licenses.htm. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the SAM.gov website.
