Description
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center-Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL) has a requirement for environmental consulting services for a contractor to install and test a state of the art, highly specialized HVAC duct sealant material in support of the governments Installation Technology Transition Program (ITTP) field demonstration, and to provide reports on the materials performance and data acquisition such as power and energy reduction, and indoor air quality improvements. The demonstration will occur at Fort Riley, KS in a period spanning 2023-2024. Aeroseal LLC is the only company found to offer a sealant material that meets the criteria and objectives of the ITTP research program, which involve demonstrating that sealing the ductwork from the inside can reduce leakage, save power and energy, and improve indoor air quality. The unique combination of features making the Aeroseal sealant fit to the program objectives include it being a stable, non-toxic, non-flammable emulsion of water and vinyl acetate polymer that is aerosolized into 4-10 micron-sized particles and distributed under pressure throughout the inside of the duct system. It is capable of finding and sealing all leaks up to 5/8 diameter. The technology is patented and only Aeroseal has the license to utilize the patent. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will in any way alter the Governments acquisition strategy. Please provide responses to this notice no later than the date listed above: CERL-CT-QUOTES@usace.army.mil Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses to this notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, a request to be added to a prospective offerors list, or to receive a copy of any solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
