Description

Statement of Work National Meetings in Support of the U.S. Solar Eclipses in 2023 and 2024 1. Objective/Requirements Science Mission Directorate (SMD) requires in person and virtual events that will convene to plan for the 2023 and 2024 solar eclipses occurring it the U.S. to share best practices for safety, science, engagement, education, evaluation and recruitment of volunteers. 2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The contractor shall perform the following duties: A) Host up to four in-person and/or hybrid events for the solar science community that will take place in advance of the October 14, 2023, annular solar eclipse and the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse. A meeting may occur post-April 2023 for lessons learned. B) Events should offer: � Presentation opportunities for NASA participants to share progress on their projects and strategies for success with other solar eclipse experts � Keynote speakers and or panelists, speaking on topics of interest, especially safety � Participation opportunities for events that will facilitate safe public participation � Partnering opportunities 3. Place(s) of Performance United States and online.
