- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation or Request for Quote/Proposal/Bid and no contract or purchase order will be awarded as a result of this notice. �The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this notice. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking potential sources that can provide precision grinding services.� Grinding services will be performed on a variety of materials, including high�-yield carbon steel plates and pre-cut shapes and products.� Work is to be performed at contractor's facility which MUST be located within 250 miles of NSWCCD, West Bethesda, MD. �A copy of the�DRAFT�Performance Work Statement (PWS)�is attached. NSWCCD intends to issue a solicitation/synopsis�in the near future to meet mission requirements.� Prior to issuing a solicitation/synopsis, NSWCCD is requesting information only in determining the interest in submitting quotes on this proposed solicitation/synopsis in order to make an informed determination regarding procurement strategy.� All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified Section 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. �The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest.� It is anticipated that the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or around 10 March 2023 via SAM.gov, resulting in a Firm-Fixed-Price BPA.� The NAICS Code for this procurement is 332813 � �Electroplating, Plating, Polishing, Anodizing and Coloring. It is requested that interested small businesses submit a response via email with a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested services. This document shall address, at a minimum the following: Capability Statement shall address ability to meet requirements as identified in the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS). Demonstrated ability to meet the requirements of the PWS may include citing and describing the same or similar relevant performance, but does not limit the interested Contractor�s approach to demonstrate capability. Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; The facility where the work will be performed; Partnership, teaming, joint ventures, or mentor-prot�g� agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that submissions will not be returned. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirement to be consistent with industry.
