- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project that generally includes installing an approximately 2,900 square foot Resident Engineer�s Office, associated site utilities, and miscellaneous utilities located at the Montgomery Locks and Dam, Ohio River, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The major features of the Project generally involves the following: a.�������� Furnish and install temporary office trailers to serve as a Resident Engineer�s Office. b.�������� Extending water, sanitary, electrical, and communication utilities to the Resident Engineer�s Office from existing onsite utilities. c.�������� Installation of a fire protection system, consisting of a dry hydrant and intake pipeline. � � � � � � � � � ������������ The intake portion of this work includes in-river work, requiring divers. d.�������� Installation of a future dry hydrant and intake pipeline for concrete batching water supply purposes.� � � � � � � � � � ������������ The intake portion of this work includes in-river work, requiring divers. e.�������� Pavement restoration resulting from utility extensions. f.��������� Remove and replace security gate, including installing new card readers, cameras, and miscellaneous components. The work is to be performed entirely on Government property, with the majority of the work taking place on the existing Esplanade.� The Montgomery Locks and Dam will remain in operations while work is being completed. Disposal of construction waste material will be disposed of at commercially permitted facilities licensed to accept waste or recyclable materials as applicable. The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after written Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 36.204 (f), the estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The acquisition will be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible Bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 24 February 2023, online through Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which posts the opportunity to SAM.gov; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is: 238990 � All Other Specialty Trade Contractors. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS Code is $19,000,000.00.
