Description

Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, Georgia intends to negotiate/award a sole-source follow-on contract with Metro Trailer Leasing, INC. 100 Metro Parkway Pelham, AL 35124 Vendor Cage Code: 1J1V2. The requirement is for the following: 1 JOB: In support of the US Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), these trailers are currently in place as a result of this requirement being a follow on, therefore continuity of maintaining the trailers is imperative. To compete this requirement would incur significant lead times and additional cost for demobilization and remobilization. Maintaining this effort while waiting for a contract to be awarded would also be difficult to maintain, as each cleaning would be on an individual basis at significant cost.� Although market research shows that other vendors are capable of meeting this requirement, Metro Trailer Leasing, Inc. is the vendor that can provide this service in a timely manner due to being the only responsible source available. To compete this requirement, and potentially award to a new vendor would require the demobilization of the current structure and install a new facility, including installation and site preparation services ordered in conjunction with buildings and structures, building materials, storage tanks/systems, services for alternative energy� solutions or power distribution equipment, and fuel dispensing and management systems. Estimated period of performance 15 May 2023 � 14 May 2024.� The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Metro Trailer Leasing, INC. is a specialized provider and will provide maintenance of RLB�s.� The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12.� THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.� If no affirmative written responses are received by 3:00pm EST on Wednesday, 15 February 2023, an award will be made without further notice.� Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
