Description
Base Year, April 1, 2023 � November 31, 2022-----No Options Mowing and trimming of grass, weeds, and trees at various locations on the Eastern Divide Ranger District.� Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment and supplies to preform mowing and trimming of grass, weeds and tree and brush sprouts at the four locations listed on the Eastern Divide Ranger District. Biweekly mowing will state April 15th and go through September 15th. Directions: see attached address� Contractor Responsibility: Contractor to provide proof of insurance prior to work starting. Equipment Specifications: Contractor shall furnish: all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment and supplies to preform mowing and trimming of grass, weeds and tree and brush sprouts at the four locations listed on the Eastern Divide Ranger District. Services to be Performed: Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment and supplies to preform mowing and trimming of grass, weeds and tree and brush sprouts at the four locations listed on the Eastern Divide Ranger District. Biweekly mowing will state April 15th and go through September 15th. Resource Protection: Protection of streams, lakes and reservoirs: The Contractor shall take sufficient precautions to prevent pollution of streams, lakes and reservoirs by fuels, oil, other chemicals, silt or other harmful materials. Access: The contractor shall protect all trails, roads, ditches, fences and other improvements in the project area. Roads and trails shall be kept free of logs, slash and debris. Any road or trail used by the contractor that is damaged by his operations shall be promptly repaired by him. The Contracting Officer�s Representative (COR) may suspend vehicular use from contract or if, in his judgement, excessive damage to roads would result from continued operations in wet weather. Inspection and Acceptance: The Contracting Officer will designate a Contracting Officer�s Representative (COR) at the time of award. The government will evaluate the contractor�s performance by appointing a Contracting Officer�s Representative (COR) to monitor performance to ensure services are received. The government representative will evaluate the contractor�s performance through inspections of the contractor�s work and receipt of complaints.� The government may inspect each task as completed or increase the number of inspections if deemed appropriate because of repeated failures discovered during the inspections or because of repeated customer complaints. Likewise, the government may decrease the number of inspections if performance dictates. The contractor shall be responsible for initially validating customer complaints. However, the government representative shall make final determination of the validity of customer complaint(s) in cases of disagreement with customer(s). Inspection of the work shall be made by the COR or Designated Inspector as the work progresses at such intervals as are necessary to ensure compliance with the contract specifications and provisions. If work is not acceptable, the Contractor shall complete any remedial work for acceptance. In no event, however, will any understanding, agreement, modification, change order, or other matters deviating from the terms of this contract be effective or binding upon the Government unless formalized by proper contractual documents executed by the Contracting Officer prior to completion of the contract. Measurement & Payments: In accordance with the Prompt Payment Act, payment will be due 30 days after receipt of full supplies or services or receipt of proper invoice; whichever is later. Full payment will not be made for less than full service. Loss, Damage or Destruction: The Government shall not be liable for loss, damage or destruction of equipment furnished under this contract except for loss, damage or destruction resulting from the negligent or wrongful act(s) of Government employee(s) while acting within the scope of their employment. SERVICE CONTRACT ACT See attachment 3: The Service Contract Act applies to this contract. Wages to be paid under this contract are listed in the attached Wage Determinations: Washington County WD #2015-4339, Rev 5; Wythe County WD # 2015-4319, Rev 5; Grayson & Smyth County WD # 2015-4317, Rev 6; all located in the State of Virginia.
