- Special Notce: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE)�will be soliciting proposals for a Manitowoc Factory Certified Dealer.� To provide a reliable crane for Olmsted Locks and Dam for servicing the wickets it is requested to have a Manitowoc factory certified dealer complete the move, assessment, and repairs of the crane. As the crane is very large and will have to be trucked to the shipyard, it will be disassembled into many pieces during the move. In making this operation with a factory certified dealer, this used piece of equipment will be moved, assessed, and repaired in the original factory process with OEM components.� This will reduce risk to the crane and operations as this work will be completed to OEM standards. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE)�will be soliciting proposals for a Manitowoc Factory Certified Dealer to�disassemble, move, inspection, reconditioning, reassembly, and testing of the crane shall follow the bullet points below. � Disassembly and Inspection Manitowoc Certified Dealer or Service Center to supervise disassembly and pickup of Manitowoc 16000 Series 3, Serial 16001116 crane and components from Olmsted Locks and Dam.� During disassembly a complete inspection shall be made of the crane and report provided to the government.� Items to be moved: Crane as currently configured Manitowoc 16000 Crane with: Series 3 Counterweight Air Conditioning Lift Crane Laggings on both drums 3050� Lift Crane Load Line Wire Rope, 28mm 1550� Lift Crane Whip Line Wire Rope, 28mm 45T Single Sheave Hook Block 110T Nine Sheave Hook Block 275.6� of No. 58 Main Boom (26.2� Butt, 1-16.4� transition, 1-19.7�, 5-39.4� Inserts and 16.4� Top)� Crane currently has 137.5� of boom installed.� 16000 Maxer Prep Auxiliary Drum Prep Detachable Upper Boom Point Plus 3 - Extra 39.4� boom sections Existing wire rope on the crane to be spooled off and retained at Olmsted.� Wire shall be spooled tightly onto steel spools and turned over to site for storage.� 2. Reconditioning Certified Dealer to perform the following items to the Manitowoc 16000 crane Install complete cab kit including a new seat in the crane.� Renew all door and window seals on crane cab Service heating and air conditioning systems Repaint all boom sections and body of the crane that is painted red.� Including the blocks.� Paint to Manitowoc specs for inland river exposure.� Repaint Single Sheave Block and Nine Sheave Hook Block to factory colors.� Replace all factory decals on the components of the crane that is painted red.� Do factory service for on all crane systems, replace all oils and filters.� Grease all components and wire ropes.� Service Anti-2 Block system for both blocks Install a new Anemometer.� Provide 4 sets of filters for all systems on the crane.� Provide a spare LMI load cell for the main and auxiliary blocks.� 3. Reassembly and Testing Manitowoc Certified Dealer to reassemble and install Manitowoc 16000 crane on barge, rig, and reeve crane ready to be able to support the incline test.� All blocks shall be installed on the crane and all safety equipment and operator aids tested.� Crane will be installed with #59 fixed mast, and #58HL boom in 157.5� configuration.� 3rd drum to be installed, and all three blocks reeved onto the crane.� There will be a 6-part main block, and two 2-part auxiliaries.�� Install auxiliary generator and boom mounted lighting.� Install LED work light at the cab. Provide test weights to load test crane to full barge rated capacity. Provide certified operator and shipyard support to incline crane barge All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be�considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 1:00PM Eastern Time on 24 February 2023. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
