- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), Division of Diabetes Translation (DDT) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price services contract to Emory University; 201 Dowman Drive; Atlanta, Georgia 30322. This contract will be for a base year of 12-months plus two (2) 12-month option years. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 611310 (Colleges, Universities and Professional Schools). The Size Standard is $30.5 million dollars. The purpose of this procurement is to provide scientific advisory services to the DDT cooperative agreement on evidence-based policies and programs related to the CDC�s NEXT-D network (DP20-002) and to perform epidemiologic analyses and systematic reviews of the practical modifiable risk factors for diabetes and its complications. The contractor shall provide scientific expertise and guidance on diabetes health policies and health services research to the CDC�s NEXT-D network project under cooperative agreement DP20-002 as a clinical expert, and conduct systematic reviews of the modifiable risk factors for diabetes and its complications. This includes (1) reviewing the literature and offering insights as an active clinician and diabetes researcher to site teams and DDT; (2) providing scientific expertise based on clinical practice and research expertise on analyses, abstracts, and publications underway in DDT related to this effort; (3) serving on the Executive Committee to guide the development and technical oversight of research activities and processes; (4) actively participating in the development and dissemination of research sites� outputs. Emory University is the only responsible source to provide these services to the CDC. No solicitation will be posted to www.sam.gov .� We will only issue a solicitation to Emory University. Emory University is the only source available to provide this service that meets mission critical requirements.� This notice of intent is not a request for proposal.� A determination to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
