- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for Aircraft Carrier Engineering Support (ACES) to provide engineering, technical, design agent, integrated logistics, modernization, equipment obsolescence, problem resolution, ship change document development, database management, and hull planning yard support services necessary to sustain operational GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78) Class, and Remaining Service Life (RSL) efforts for the NIMITZ (CVN 68) Class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.� This requirement will be solicited to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding, 4101 Washington Ave, Newport News, VA 23607.� The requirement will be procured, without full and open competition, from the only qualified source capable of performing Aircraft Carrier Engineering Support for GERALD R. FORD (CVN 78) Class, and propulsion plant related efforts for NIMITZ (CVN 68) Class aircraft carriers. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Huntington Ingalls Incorporated - Newport News Shipbuilding directly. A Request for Information (RFI) was issued via SAM on 25 October 2023 under Notice ID N00024-23-R-2100. Based off the responses from the RFI, it was determined that this opportunity will not be a small-business set-aside. This notice is neither a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid. Unsolicited proposals will not be accepted. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Information provided in response to this notice will not be considered an offer by the responding contractor and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responding parties are also advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
