- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities of small business firms for a small business set-aside. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately.� This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. No solicitation or technical scope of services is available at this time. The Government will use the responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to make acquisition decisions. Small businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. Contract duration is estimated to be 360 days, NAICS code is 336611 - Ship and Boat Building, which has a size standard of 1,250 employees. Award of a Contract is being considered.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has issued this solicitation for dry docking a crane barge used for maintenance at the Olmsted Lock and Dam. The maintenance and repair work to be performed under this contract consists, as a minimum, of the following items: �������������� Transporting the barge from Olmsted, IL to the contractor�s dry dock facility. �������������� Upon completion of all work on the barge and all crane work, the barge shall be transported from the contractor�s dry dock facility to the Olmsted Lock and Dam. �������������� Removal of the vessel from service and berthing of the barge. �������������� Cleaning the entire hull exterior. �������������� Check hull plating thickness (audio gauging). �������������� Cutting out sections of the deck and installing a new steel foundation for the crawler crane. �������������� Providing and installing two new deck hatches in the ballast tanks. �������������� Gas-Freeing, cleaning, and painting the ballast tanks. �������������� Painting of the hull. �������������� Pipe Chase Renovation. �������������� Removal of spuds, inspection of spud wells while on dry dock, and reinstallation of spuds. �������������� Conex box renovations to include supply and install new rubber tile floor, new light fixtures, new man doors, and all windows. �������������� All 4 conex boxes shall include new individual split unit heat and air conditioners.� Discard the existing window unit AC Units and place a sealed steel patch over the existing opening.� Finish the interior to provide insulation and wall covering over the existing opening.� Units shall be sized to provide a 65F cooling room temp in temperatures up to 140F, and a 72 F heating temp in temperatures as low as 10F.� Units shall have backup heating elements.� Each unit shall be controlled inside the individual conex.� �������������� Paint outside of the Conex boxes. �������������� 500-gallon fuel oil tank � open, drain degrease, pressure wash, open for inspection, paint tank exterior, close tank, and refill with fuel. �������������� Generator � service generator, replace battery and cables, and load bank generator. �������������� AMCON spud winch � remanufacture winch. �������������� Timberland positioning winches � clean, service, and inspect. �������������� Deck winches � provide and install two new 65-ton electric barge winches. �������������� Install electric cables from generator set to power new deck winches. �������������� Remove and return to the Corps the Patterson WWP90E-10-20LP winch mounted on centerline of the barge. �������������� Disassemble Manitowoc crane at Olmsted L&D. �������������� Transport crane and all crane components to shipyard from Olmsted L&D. �������������� Obtain services of certified Manitowoc dealer to assist with crane disassembly, transportation, inspection, re-assembly on the barge. �������������� Perform maintenance and reconditioning on the crane. �������������� Install new wire rope on the crane. �������������� Incline barge at completion of barge and crane work. �������������� Perform load testing of the crane on the barge. All interested Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this SOURCES SOUGHT by email no later than Friday 17 February by 12:00 PM Eastern Time.� The following requests are designed to apprise the US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, of any prospective small business project execution capabilities. �Please provide your response to the following. The submission is limited to 12 total pages of information. Responses should include: 1. Identification and verification of the company's small business status. 2. Contractor's Unique Identifier Number and CAGE Code(s). 3. Documentation from the firm's bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. 4. Descriptions of Experience - Interested firms must provide specification sheets for all equipment to determine if the firm can provide the requested equipment. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Drydocking or building a crane barge of over 60� in width to include work to the hull and hull structure. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Drydocking or otherwise removing a barge from the water for maintenance that is a minimum of 200 ft long x 100 ft wide x 12 ft depth and ability to do full repairs and maintenance. c. Based on the information above, for each project submitted, include: Current percentage of completion or the date when it will be completed.�� Size of the project Scope of the project The dollar value of the contract Identify the number of subcontractors by trade utilized for each project.
