VA HANDBOOK 6500.6 MARCH 12, 2010 APPENDIX C C-12 Page 1 of Page 1 of 2 Pre-solicitation Notice of Intent to Sole Source Pre-Solicitation Notice of intent to award a sole source contract.  This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with:    BLACKROCK MICROSYSTEMS, INC ueiSAM: JNDKU5RMVAT4 630 S KOMAS DR STE 200 SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84108 This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for proprietary neural signal processing equipment. This equipment is for a highly complex, long-term research endeavor that has been on-going for at least 5 years. Blackrock Microsystems, INC has been supplying the items required and due to the proprietary nature of these items, a valid sole-source justification exists. VA will negotiate and award a 5-year Blanket Ordering Agreement to this vendor. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.   The NAICS 334510. The size standard is 1,250 employees. The PSC/FSC is 6515.         Interested persons may contact the Contracting Officer by email at keri.reeves@va.gov regarding this procurement.  The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.   Response must be received by 02/09/2023 NLT 10:00am EST.
