Description

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY, AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-year, sole source, firm-fixed-price service contract with Verogen Incorporated, located at 1111 Flintkotes Ave, San Diego, California, 92121. The FBI Laboratory Division (LD) requires a one-year (12 months) preventative maintenance agreement for their MiSeq FGx and NextSeq instruments. This service/maintenance agreement is an ongoing effort to support instruments the FBI Laboratory previously purchased from Illumina, Inc. Verogen, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the MiSeq FGx and NextSeq NGS instruments and their associated peripherals. Therefore, they are the only company capable of providing the necessary service and support (preventive maintenance, instrument failure coverage, instrument upgrades, etc.) for these instruments. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration�s System for Awards Management website (www.SAM.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which allows the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and submit a capabilities statement to include an OEM Authorized Reseller letter or certificate in response to this requirement. Please submit all required documentation to CO�Adelle Bolton via email at albolton@fbi.gov no later than 5:00 pm EST on Monday, February 13, 2023.�Responses sent utilizing other means (i.e., via a telephone call, facsimile transmission, etc.) will not be considered. Information received will be used solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government. Vendors shall be registered in SAM to receive government contracts, effective July 29, 2012. The FBI utilizes a financial system with a direct interface with SAM. Please ensure that your company�s SAM information is updated and accurate to include the TIN, EFT, UEI, addresses, and contact information. The EFT banking information on file in SAM will be what the FBI uses to process payments to your organization.
