Description

SMALL BUSINESS INDUSTRY DAY- C-130 AVIATION CONSUMABLES PERFORMANCE BASED LOGISTICS CONTRACT This notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This announcement is neither a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it constitute a guarantee or otherwise commit the Government, in any way, to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. SPE4AX-23-R-0002 is the planned solicitation number and is being used for notice identification; however, no solicitation is available at this time. DLA Aviation intends to bundle approximately 7,900 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) into a procurement for C-130 weapon system performance-based supply chain management support. This holistic project is expected to be a single contract action with Lockheed Martin. This population of items meets the definition on bundling at FAR 2.101, and is likely to be unsuitable for award to a small business due to the diversity, size, or specialized nature of the elements of the performance specified. The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to attend a Small Business Industry Day hosted by and at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation in Richmond, VA. The Small Business Industry Day presentation will explain the Government's rationale for this holistic project and to highlight how small businesses can become qualified suppliers to Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin will provide a briefing that will cover their commitment to small business, what they are looking for in a supplier, applicable small business NAICS codes, supplier-teaming resources, and the steps for supplier qualification. The Small Business Industry Day will be held February 22, 2023 at 0900 Eastern Standard Time (EST). Pre-registration for attendance is REQUIRED. PLEASE USE THE E-INVITIATION LINK AT THE BOTTOM TO RSVP. This is a no-fee event. Additional event details, including conference line access will be provided once attendance is confirmed. Questions relative to this Small Business Industry Day should be addressed within the E-Invitation. If time permits, one-on-one sessions may be offered but is not a guarantee. Any business sensitive/proprietary questions will be addressed off-line by DLA.
