- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems intends to issue a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) modification for the production of Modular Artillery Charge Systems (MACS) PA103A2 and PA161 Metal Containers.� The PA161 and PA103A2 Containers are square rimmed six-inch diameter cylindrical steel shipping and storage containers between 31 and 38 inches in length, used for the155mm M231 and M232A1 Modular Artillery Charge System (MACS). A total of four M231 MACS are packed per PA161 container while five M232A2 MACS are packed per PA103A2 container. These containers were developed to protect the MACS Charges throughout the Army's stringent logistic environments and have design features that improve the insensitive munitions characteristics for the MACS system. This modification shall be issued under current contract W15QKN-20-D-0003 with Conco, Inc. (Louisville, KY) This modification will increase the contract ceiling by $238,742,144.44, FROM: $46,200,000.00 TO: $293,461,552.65.� This modification will be issued under the authority of 10 U.S.C.3204(a)(1); as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)-Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This modification is a result of the surge in requirements to support the Presidential Buyback effort. This modification will also increase the maximum quantity per month to 30,000 and add two additional quantity ranges of 280,001 � 500,000 and 500,001 � 800,000. Appropriate and available funds are available for this acquisition. This announcement is for notification purposes only and shall NOT be construed as a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP. Any information or exchanges between Contractors and the United States Government (USG) are at no additional cost and/or obligation to the USG.
