Description

The Command Fleet Readiness Center South West (FRCSW), PO Box 357058, San Diego, CA 92135-7058, intends to negotiate and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order with Advance Manufacturing, Co. Inc., Turnpike Industrial Road Westfield, MA 01085 for supplies and services to provide off-site maintenance and calibration services for two (2) Government owned assets. This Purchase Order supports the Installation of ventilation hoods supporting services that requires calibration on two hydraulic torque wrenches in support of FRCSW�s LM2500 program. This effort will enable the Government to ensure that all torque wrenches have an active calibration certificate which are only valid for one year.� This base order shall include four option years in support of the ongoing effort preventing a loss of calibration certification, which would result in a work stoppage for the LM2500 production. Advance Manufacturing, Co. Inc. has been the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and, accordingly, is the only known responsible firm with the requisite knowledge, capability, experience, technical data, test equipment and expertise necessary to fulfill the Government�s requirements within the required timeframes herein. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 USC 2304(C) (1), as instructed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
