Description: The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, located in Charleston, South Carolina is requesting a BRAND NAME supply type purchase order to provide WATCHMAN FLX LLA CLOSURE DEVICES [(4) 20 MM, (4) 24MM, (5) 27MM, (4) 31MM and (3) 35MM] to Veterans patients who are being treating with a Watchman implant. The implant device is implanted into the hear to close off the left atrial appendage, a bling pucnh of heart tissue to prevent blood clots from formning in someone who has atrial fibrilation. The devices reduces the risk of stroke and it may over time allow the individual to stop taking blood thinners.
