Description
Overview: The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Directorate of Procurement, on behalf of USSOCOM Program Executive Office � SOF Warrior (PEO-SW), is hosting an Industry Engagement Event for Special Operations Forces Linguist Support Services II (LSS II) on 17-20 January 2023 at the Pinewood Mission Support Center, 6701 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, Florida 33611-5109. Linguist Support Services II is a highly specialized requirement. The Government may require a certain number of linguists to receive training in Special Skills, which includes, but is not limited to parachuting, rappelling, fast roping, and other insertion/extraction techniques. If required, the Government will provide Special Skills training. Individuals selected for Special Skills training shall pass the U.S. Army Physical Fitness Test (pushups, sit-ups, and 2-mile run) and be able to complete a 3-mile trail hike in under 60 minutes while carrying a 30-lbs. ruck sack. Additionally, the Government will require vendors to possess a final Top Secret Facility Clearance with approved safeguarding at the minimum Secret level as accredited by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) at the time of proposal submittal. Only vendors capable of providing linguists qualified to meet these special requirements and already in possession of final Top Secret Facility Clearance with approved safeguarding at the minimum Secret level should consider attending the industry event and proposing for this contract opportunity. USSOCOM�s Special Operations Forces Linguist Support Services (LSS) are currently acquired under contract H92222-13-C-0053, which is scheduled to end 14 August 2023. LSS II will be a follow-on effort with a coordinated transition between the existing contract and the new award.� RFIs and Draft RFPs for this effort will be posted on the Sam.gov website (www.sam.gov) beginning on or about 3 January 2023 with reference to solicitation number H92402-23-R-0002. Vendors are advised to monitor SAM.gov for additional information. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this market research is 541930 - Translation and Interpretation Services. Industry Event: This event is the first and only planned market research event for open constructive conversation between the procurement activity and industry. The objective is to communicate the LSS II acquisition approach and program/technical requirements. Our interest is in obtaining industry feedback regarding the acquisition approach and program/technical requirements.� Schedule: Industry Engagement Day 1 will be dedicated to information briefings and Q&A sessions. The following days will be dedicated to one-on-one vendor/Government meetings. The one-on-one meetings are limited to contractors whose intent is to submit a proposal as a prime contractor. These meetings will be limited to 45-minute sessions with the goal of discussing the vendor�s current capabilities in regard to fulfilling the LSS II requirements. If desired, please request a one-on-one meeting on your registration form.� COVID Protocols: All events will follow current Federal, State, and local COVID guidelines and protocols at the time of the event. Event Registration: Participants must register to the points of contact listed below by completing the registration form (Attachment 1) and submitting security information (Attachment 2) no later than 12:00 PM EST 10 January 2023. Please note that attendance information will not be available to the public. All discussions will be held at the US SECRET level and a SECRET clearance or higher is required for attendance. All participants must be US citizens. Foreign participantion is NOT authorized. Participants will not be allowed to bring any electronics including, but not limited to: portable computers, cameras, two-way pagers, cellphones, thumb drives, blackberries, wireless transmitters, wi-fi devices, blue-tooth enabled key fobs/watches/fitbits, etc. Participants must be certified to receive, create, process, analyze and store US Classified up to and including SECRET. Due to limited seating, attendance is limited to three (3) attendees per company. Registration will be closed when seating capacity is reached, or on 12:00 PM EST 10 January 2023, whichever comes first. This Notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the United States Government.� Please be advised this is a Notice only.� It does not obligate the Government to reimburse any cost associated with preparation and/or submission of a response, nor does this Notice guarantee the Government will issue a Solicitation / RFP or award your company a contract to provide these services.� Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this information or these activities.
