- Description
- The RAZR product is a near field radar cross section measurement (RCS) system which advances the state of the art in a fixed and fieldable RCS measurement system that has a diagnostic radar capability intended to identify defects, verify repairs, and assess RCS confidence of the LRSO system for maintenance, repair and production acceptance. Resonant Science is the only company that can provide a product that robotically controls the radar measurement hardware for accuracy, optically aligns the unit under test for repeatable measurements and demonstrated this via testing collecting accurate low observable near field RCS measurements and then used a near field to far field transformation software to accurately match the LRSO far field RCS data; the RAZR utlilizes a Quaterbranch radar as its backbone along with low observable programmable array radar system (LOPARS) on a robotic arm and omnidirectional base to generate very high resolution 2D and 3D RCS images; the RAZR integrates a state of the art optical scanning capability to utilize Target as a reference Robot arm can reposition array within approximately .01 and better than .05 degrees AZ and EL for consistently repeatable measurements; LOPARs can configured horizontally to collect high speed 2D LSAR measurements with no mechanical movement; RS RAZR can be utilized in a static configuration, a static configuration with an actuated arm for increased aperature size, or in a dynamic mode where the entire system traverse the aperture extent in traditional mobile measurement vehicle style collection; the software is setup to operate in a simplified operational collection mode for technicians or in an advanced engineering mode which provides the user more flexibility and diagnostic capabilities; ,capable of making high resolution 3D RCS measurements-LOPARS is rotated by the robotic arm into a vertical configuration to collect elevation data in addition to azimuth -can be utilized in a static configuration with the target rotating (ISAR) with LOPARS actuated arm or in a dynamic mode driving past or around the target; LOPARS along with unique signaling processing techniquesenables the generation of volumetric RCS images as a single data collection with mulitple view of target, allows user to accurately pinpoint hotspots and defects and facilities better understanding of scattering centers and provides custom data processing solutions.
