Description

The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to provide questions and answers asked regarding the requirement. 1. Question: The bid package mentioned that there are two Liebert NX units but didn't provide information about the second unit. 1. Answer: There is only one unit. This was corrected in modification P0001. 2. Question: Do you require expedited freight delivery? 2. Answer: No 3. Question: Is inside delivery required? 3. Answer: Yes 4. Question: Is a loading dock available? 4. Answer: Yes, Receiving Days/Hours: 0700-1500 5. Question: Is the dock a full-service dock - will you have equipment and personnel to unload a truck? 5. Answer: We do not do full service. The vendor is responsible for offloading, staging, removing/swapping out the old batteries for the new, and taking the old batteries away. VA personnel will not be helping with this. There is a pallet jack that could be used, but any other preferred equipment would be up to the vendor to bring. 6. Question: Will you require a lift-gate truck? 6. Answer: This is vender discretion. The dock can support semi-trucks or lift gate trucks. 7. Question: Are there any dock or truck accessibility restrictions? (Height, Width, Length, Weight) 7. Answer: No 8. Question: Will the driver need to provide a pallet jack? 8. Answer: We can allow the use of a pallet jack that is available in our warehouse. 9. Question: Will the driver need to locate the shipment someplace other than at the dock? 9. Answer: There is room for storage on the dock, enroute to the UPS room, and/or in the UPS room. 10. Question: Is a Freight Elevator available? 10. Answer: Yes. The elevator has a weight capacity of 3,500lbs. 11. Question: Are there stairs to be navigated? 11. Answer: No 12. Question: Will flooring require protection? 12. Answer: No 13. What is the smallest door width to be navigated through during delivery? 13. Answer: The smallest door is slightly larger than normal approximately 40 inches. 14. Question: How far from the dock is the room in which the batteries and/or equipment to be placed? 14. Answer: Approximately 3,500 ft. 15. Question: How easy is it to access the UPS room from the dock, like ramp, steps, fright elevator etc. 15. Answer: Access to the room is relatively easy. No ramps or steps. Access to area is from freight elevator.
