Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price contract to BAE Systems, Information and Electronic Systems (BAE), Greenlawn, NY for Life of Type Buys (LOTB) under the Digital Interrogation (DI) program. The contract award will procure (136) Single Board Computers, (136) LCD Glass for Data Entry Devices, and (345) Circuit Card Assembly Crypto. BAE Systems, as the sole designer, developer, and manufacture of the AN/UPX-50(C) Digital Interrogator, is the only company with the unique knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform these requirements in the timeframe required. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR part 12 for this acquisition.
