- Project Title: Medical Waste Incinerator Facility, Fort Detrick, Frederick, MarylandProject Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District was requested to assist the Installation Management Command (IMCOM), specifically Fort Detrick, with executing the construction of a new medical waste incinerator facility at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland in. A new medical waste incinerator facility is required to dispose of regulated medical waste generated inside the National Interagency Biodefense Campus (NIBC) at FT Detrick, MD without the need to transport solid waste to an off-site facility. This proposed procurement is Full and Open Competition (Unrestricted); NAICS 236210, Industrial Building Construction, with a size standard of $39,500,000.00MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000.This is a firm-fixed price two (2) phase Design-Build Construction Contract utilizing the Best Value Tradeoff Process. A pre-proposal conference is planned to be held at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Northwest Area Office on Fort Detrick.
