- Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Six (6) Each Interns in support of the Office of Management for the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a Sole Source firm-fixed price purchase order to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), located at 8415 Datapoint Drive, Suite 400, San Antonio, TX 78229-9329. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and the FDA's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HACU (entered into pursuant to 5 CFR Part 251); HACU is the known source who can provide the required services. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the FDA anticipates issuing an award for the purchase of Six (6) Each Interns, for Fiscal Year 2023 and Fiscal Year 2024, a 10-15 week program in support of the Office of Management for the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) long standing commitment to diversity and inclusion to harness the power of diversity of thought, background, and experience that is essential for the organization's ability to innovate and maintain high performance. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. REQUIRED TASKS TO BE PERFORMED: At a minimum, the interns shall be required to perform the following tasks as part of this internship but are not limited to: Assist in projects of the following fields and topics, Human Resource and Human Capital; Budget; Training and/or Information Technology (IT) Assist OM staff in updating and maintaining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) projects and resource materials Provides customer service and records management assistance to CBER employees Support Business Process Improvement, Business Management Operations and/or Quality Assurance initiatives with data entry, data gathering and fact-finding activities, prepare reports and graphs/chart using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel Study the objectives, policies, or needs of organizations to develop communication strategies that will convey information on the organizations� work to many different audiences Process, organize, and file administrative documents digitally Perform literature reviews and other data analysis Investigate policies, regulations and search pertinent sources, such as public records and internet sites to assist in projects, data calls and policy development. Perform a wide range of administrative duties related to administrative support such as: Establish and maintain filing systems Review and distribute mail Organize, track, and order supplies Maintain a control system for projects, documents, and material received Compose and send correspondence to office staff regarding ongoing projects, initiatives, due outs, etc. Perform general office clerk duties by receiving and referring visitors and telephone calls to appropriate personnel and/or branches and divisions with non-technical inquiries and referring technical questions to the proper staff members. Creates, enters, and maintains, information in internal and external databases.� To include updating and/or revising existing data for the support of the office staff. Supports our employee development by assisting with the creation, organization, and verification of information in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Upload files in SharePoint MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be eligible, an individual shall have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA), be enrolled in a degree program as an undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, have completed at least the freshman year of college before the internship begins and be considered a sophomore by their home institution, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or have other documentation of their eligibility to work in the United States. Recent graduates must complete their internship within a year of graduation. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. It is anticipated that an award will be issued within approximately ten (10) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capability to meet this requirement.
