FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ANNOUNCEMENT: Special Notice CLASSIFICATION CODE: 66 - Instruments and Laboratory Equipment SUBJECT: Renewal of INCITS membership SOLICITATION NUMBER: 1333ND23QNB770020 CONTACT POINTS: Brian Jamieson, Contract Specialist (301) 975-8276 Robert Cowins, Contracting Officer (301) 975-8335 DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), with the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) for the acquisition of a one-year membership to be used by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for the period of 12/1/2022 to 11/30/2023. ***** Sole source determination is based on the need to maintain NIST�s current membership with INCITS. ITL standards priorities include cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence. The INCITS Standards Developing Organization (SDO) is developing specific standards in these and other areas that are ITL staff are currently participating. INCITS is the only source identified capable of meeting NIST�s current requirements. *****The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 813920 - Professional Organizations, with a small business size standard of $16.5 million. ****** A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. *****No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirements listed above must identify their capability in writing before the response date of this notice. Only responses received by November 25, 2022 at 10:00 am., EST will be considered by the government. Responses shall be submitted via email to Brian.Jamieson@nist.gov.
