- Subject: Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract for DF Spiral Antennas NAICS: 334419 Solicitation Number: N6883623Q0034 5985 Antennas, Waveguides, and Related Equipment The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Jacksonville, FL. intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisitions Procedures to Microwave Engineering Corporation (a Small Business). They are the sole distributor for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The requirement is for DF Spiral Antennas for the Periscope Type 15L Mod (T) at Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay, GA. This sole-source acquisition meets the conditions under Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full Competition under 41 U.S. C. 1901(e)2, Special Rules for Commercial Items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) and is not a request for competitive quotes, however all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements should contact timothy.j.merkerson2.civ@us.navy.mil. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or an invitation to bid. Delivery Date: 31 March 2023 Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 17 November 2022 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T., via email to timothy.j.merkerson2.civ@us.navy.mil A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will be at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer. If no written responses are received by 4:00 p.m. E.S.T, 17November 2022, the contract will be solicited without further notice. It is anticipated that any resulting solicitation will be for a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with a Product Service Code (PSC) 5985 and a NAICS of 334419 with a size standard of 750 employees. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government that obtaining this service through a sole-source contract, then a sole-source acquisition will be made.
